Description kitesurf spot Wijk aan Zee Noordpier:
Wijk aan Zee Noordpier is a true water sports environment. Here you will find kite surfers, wind surfers, wave surfers and swimmers. You also have other beach activities such as blow karting, kitebuggy or land boarding. In the summer there is a volleyball net and slack lines are tense. The spot has a direct connection to the kitespot Wijk aan Zee de Bunker. 2 Popular beach Clubs Aloha and Timboektoe provide beachgoers and water sports enthusiasts with the necessary drinks and meals. Both have a wonderful terrace where you can chill after your kite surfing session.
The pier offers protection against heavy currents and high waves with a southwest wind. Zone 1 is right behind the pier and is not for kite surfers. From zone 2 you can inflate and release your kite. Enough space because the beach is wide here. There are also kite surfing schools here, so keep the students in mind. The water conditions are excellent. Depending on the tide (ebb or flood) you have more or less chance that you can stand, but once you leave the coast it quickly becomes deep.
With West wind it is just onshore wind. You must then be able sail very close to the wind or you will not get away. The nearest other kite spot is kitespot is Wijk aan Zee de Bunker.
