Whitbread Blast From the Past

This video is a real blast from the past. The Volvo Ocean Race was of course originally the Whitbread Round the World Race. This clip shows the beginnings of the race in 1973. After seeing the modern Open 70s, it is quite a contrast to see this video with what were state of the art ocean racers of their day. We have come a long way.
